Marc Jolicoeur is the Chair of the National Council of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, Canada’s largest law firm. He is also the Managing Partner of the Ottawa office of BLG. After being admitted to the Ontario Bar in 1980, Marc has been practicing corporate/commercial law with a special emphasis on services to corporations, public institutions, charities and not-for-profit organizations.
Throughout his professional career, Marc has been involved in many business, professional and community organizations including the University of Ottawa (Chair), University of Ottawa Heart Institute (Director), University of Ottawa Foundation (Chair), Ottawa Civic Hospital Foundation (Chair), several branches of the United Way and many more.
In recognition of his business and community involvement, Marc has received many awards, including the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal, the Gordon F. Henderson Award from the County of Carleton Law Association, the Trudeau Medal and the Philos Award from the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa and the "Médaille d'excellence" from the Regroupement des gens d’affaires.
